Announcing our upcoming Limited Release whisky, in support of the Great Southern Reef Foundation!

We have just released a very special Limited Release whisky! A unique, characterful maritime single malt whisky, made with 40 year old Tawny Port casks, in support of a charity close to our hearts, the Great Southern Reef Foundation.

If you've been following us for awhile, you will know of the Great Southern Reef Foundation (GSRF) and their work to embed the importance of the Great Southern Reef into our culture by promoting the recognition, stewardship and long-term health of Australia's kept forests. The Great Southern Reef runs outside our distillery doorstep and is an interconnected system of reefs, sustaining an array of marine life which has been and continues to be impacted by climate change.

We're keen supporters and friends of the GSRF with $4800 from the auction of our bottle #01 being donated to their foundation earlier this year and we look forward to continuing to support the incredible team and further their awareness with this new release.

Our new Limited Release 'Great Southern Reef' has a lovely salted caramel backbone that is enhanced by the stewed fruits from the ex-Apera Sherry casks. The 40 year old Tawny Port cask finish brings a complexity and depth to the whisky that only aged fortified can provide.

A release of only 591 bottles that will never be repeated and only available in Australia.
